Social innovation refers to innovation that enhances society, including justice, inclusion, and opportunity
rather than drives productivity, market-rational behavior, and economic progress (Galego et al., 2021).
Thus, it is recognized as “almost impossible to solve”, requiring collaborations, which brings together
diverse stakeholders, each with unique perspectives, resources, and expertise, to address complex
social challenges (Blanchet, 2024), especially in the case of the Vinamilk Green Farm project.
Vinamilk Green Farm's purpose is to bring consumers a line of eco-friendly products, providing high
nutritional value, along with reducing carbon emission and aiming for sustainable agriculture (Vinamilk,
2023). With such a goal, it is difficult for a business to shoulder the burden alone. However, with support
from the Government (policies that create conditions for Vinamilk to develop technology), tight
relationships with local farmers to create larger scale farms across countries. Besides, Vinamilk is also
funded by organizations such as IFAD to develop sustainable agriculture (DSF, 2023); or UN SDG has
contributed to creating a framework and community values for Vinamilk to gain experience and learn
from. In general, cross-sector collaborations allow different stakeholders to combine their resources and
capabilities to develop solutions (Blanchet, 2024).
In terms of how individuals, businesses, and governments can work together in such projects, I think
individuals can participate by using the products of these projects, offering input, and raising awareness
of the initiative; corporations can share resources and work with other groups to integrate sustainable
development into their operations; and the government may assist these efforts by offering funds,
infrastructure, and supportive legislation.

The discussion on collaborative approach is quite logical. While the illustrations on what collaborative
measures that should be adopted is rather general. Examples should be applied to support the
arguments.

Question 24
4.5 / 6 pts
Write your analysis in 120-200 words and ensure your writing is within the context of the case study.
(For the information of the SSVN case study, go to Canvas Module for the learning case study. You
should know it by now because we have discussed this case study many times in our classes.)
Marking rubric:
Note: if your discussion is out of topic, Language & Cohesion mark will not be counted.
Your Answer:
The Test phase is essential because it enables businesses to get input and validate their ideas against
actual circumstances. By taking this action, SSVN can make sure that their training initiatives are both
successful and tailored to the demands of their intended audience. Testing might highlight unanticipated
difficulties or opportunities, which can improve the solution.
SSVN provides aid and survival skill training programs for individuals and organizations' employees.
Desirability: This test is to identify what the customers want regarding their training programs. SSVN
can gain feedback from those who have undergone the training. This could provide insights into
whether the training is understandable, applicable, and effective. Or they can observe and conduct
reports on how the training is applied in real-world scenarios. This could help assess the practical
effectiveness of the training.
Feasibility: This is to find out whether SSVN’s project can realistically be accomplished. It is the
practicality and possibility of a proposed project or system. SSVN can predict in advance the effort
they will need to put into the project (money, time, human resources), as well as the impact that
improving training programs will have on the company.
Viability: This is for whether the business should integrate these solutions. It analyzes whether the
project will sustain itself in the long term. SSVN must ensure the customer’s expectations to gain
competitive advantages within the market. Since their service is quite unique in the Vietnamese

market, SSVN can sustain their advantages in the short-term, but they should make it more
differentiative.
The goal of the Test step is not to prove the solution is perfect, but to learn more about how it can be
improved. It’s a continuous and iterative process of learning, improving, and retesting. This approach
could help SSVN enhance their training programs, thereby better fulfilling their mission of reducing
preventable casualties in Vietnam through first-aid education.
The main roles of test for the business of SSVN are quite logically explained. However, relevant an d
specific examples should be adopted to support the arguments. The length of the answer substantially
exceeds the word limit.
