AN OVERVIEW OF MENTAL HEALTH

ABSTRACT

Health is an essential quality in human being. It is defined as a

state of complete physical ,mental and social well being and

the absence of disease. This definition intends to embrace the

other components the contribute a positive health like

emotional, spiritual,behavioral and cultural.

Introduction

disorders account 5 to 10 leading causes of disability as


measured by years lived with disability Mental and health

behavioural problems are increasing part of the health

problems the world over. The burden of illness resulting from

psychiatric and behavioural disorders is enormous . although it

remains grossly under represent by conventin

typical level of stress ,insomnia, anxiety ,depression .by 2022


levels had lowered but were still higher than before 2020

though feelings of distress about covid 19 may come and

go ,they are still an issue for many people and also fatique ,low

energy and low

mental health literacy is broadly defined as knowledge of

mental health symptoms , interventions, and resource

available,as well as positive attitude and self -efficacy towards

helping others in need . many students were aware of

counselling service and symptoms aware related to depression

but fewer recogqnized other campus resource and type of

mental health conditions . health promotions and prevention of

mental health issues were under recognized ; students only

endorsed helping seek actions when symptoms were severe

additionally students experiencing high levels

Methodology

In the mental health field ,there is a growing awareness that

the study of psychiatric symptoms in the context of everyday

life using experience sampling methodology(ESM),may provide

a powerful and necessary addition to more conventional

research approaches which includes surveys, case study ,

experimental studies,content analysis , meta analysis

correlation research ,quasi experiments , naturalistic

observation, structured observation and neuroimaging and link


veterns as a

pratical alternative to behavior exposure the essence of

pschaitric are natural experiences emerging in the realm of

ordinary daily life , often in interaction with contextual factors

DATA ANALYSIS
In this table the multiracial as the highest
percentage which is of 34.5% and the second
highest is amercian Indian which is of 26%
according to the prevalence of mental illness
by race
The people with illness in the year of 2016 was
almost of 40.1 % and in the year of 2017 it was
almost of 41.7% which was highest people with
illness and the age distribution in 2016 was 267
and in 2017 it was 92 and the total response in
the year of 2016 was 1433 and in the year of
2017 it was almost og 752 and in the year of
2015 was 1259 which was the highest compare
to other year
