TITLE OF MICROPROJECT:
“Configure cisco Wi-Fi router using packet tracer on a
network”

1.0 Brief Introduction :

A "Configuring a Cisco Wi-Fi Router using Packet Tracer," focuses on creating a
simulated network environment to understand the fundamentals of Wi-Fi
network setup and management. Using Cisco Packet Tracer, a powerful
network simulation tool, you will design a network layout that includes a Cisco
Wi-Fi router, a switch, and various devices such as PCs, laptops, and
smartphones. The project begins with setting up the Cisco router, where you’ll
configure essential settings like IP addressing and DHCP. This allows the router
to automatically assign IP addresses to connected devices, simplifying device
management. Additionally, you’ll establish Wi-Fi security settings, such as
WPA2 encryption, and assign a unique SSID (network name) to make the
network secure and easily identifiable.Once the router is configured, you will
connect devices to the network. Some devices will connect wirelessly, while
others might connect through LAN cables. Finally, you will verify the setup by
testing communication between devices, using commands like ping to ensure
they can communicate effectively within the network.

2.0 Aim of the Micro-Project

• To understand the concept of Configuring a Cisco Wi-Fi Router using
Packet Tracer.
• Understand and apply basic networking concepts such as IP addressing,
DHCP, and wireless security.
• Gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting and verifying network
connectivity in a simulated environment.
