In Buwera village lived an old woman. She had produced ten children but unfortunately, all of
them died of HIV/AIDS.

The old woman could look after her grand children who were orphans. She planted maize and
pineapples which she could sell to buys books for the children. She got a good price because
her products were sold to traders who go to Juba. The old woman always advised the
children to avoid AIDS and to work hard at school.

During the Sports Competition, one of the grand children participated and won the 100
metre-race. She was given a new mattress as a prize. The little girl however donated the new
mattress to her grandmother and bought a new mat for herself instead. The grandmother
could not believe it, she was so happy that she even shed tears.
