 Chapter 1

ABOUT THE INSTITUTION

Government Engineering College,RAMANAGARA (GECR) is an engineering college

located in Ramanagara, Karnataka, India. A huge building with planned utilities has come up
in forty acres land. The Government of Karnataka started this Government Engineering
College with an objective - To Reach The Unreached. The institution is affiliated with
the Visvesvaraya Technological University in Belgaum and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
Ramanagar is working under Dr. G Pundarika (Principal).
Histroy of Our Institution:
The Government of Karnataka under Department of Technical Education has established 10
engineering colleges in 2007–2008. GEC Ramanagara is one such college established with
four branches of engineering, namely, Civil Engineering, Computer Science &
Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
The institution, although having a rough start, is slowly evolving to become one of the elite
technical institutes providing quality technical education.

Admissions:

For the undergraduate curriculum, admission to the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)
programme is done through the Common Entrance Test(CET) conducted by Karnataka
Examination Authority.
Library:
The college library acts as a knowledge center for students and faculty of the college.
Smart classrooms and many factilites like:
Interactive smart classrooms are used Which includes videos ,presentation and all
interactive method of teaching.

We have well furnished labs in our college . Laboratory is fully equipped with all the
nessasary equiments .

OBJECTIVES OF INTER/INTRA INTERNSHIP REPORT

An intership is a period of work experience offered in my college for a limited

period of time.

Internships are generally thought of to be reserved for college students looking to gain
experience in a particular field. However, a wide array of people can benefit from inter/intra
Internships in order to receive real world experience and develop their skills.

An objective for this position should emphasize the skills you already possess in the area and
your interest in learning more.

Internships are utilized in a number of different career fields, including career exploration
and development and to learn new skills and more.

Some internship is used to allow individuals to perform scientific research while others are
specifically designed to allow people to gain first-hand experience working.

Utilizing internships is a great way to build your career activities and develop skills that can
be emphasized in your resume for future jobs. When you are applying for a Training
Internship, make sure to highlight any special skills or talents that can make you stand apart
from the rest of the applicants so that you have an improved chance.

An intership is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, and useful in the
ways of practically related to a student’s field or in there career interest.

By writing this report , I also describe and reflect my learning outcomes and achiving
personal goals that I have planned during my intership days.
