your height. This avoids the health risks associated with being very much over or
under weight. A fully balanced diet contains carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins,
fats, mineral salts and fibres,
Cellulose : They are carbohydrate molecule. The importance of cellulose in
the body is to scrub out your intestines and keep them clean. Even though we
an't digest cellulose, it's still an important part of yor diet. The cellulose fibers
from vegetables and grains help to scrub out your intestines and keep them clean.
Balance diet is very important and the coach should plan the dirt of the player as
per his / her game.
8 Food Components of Diet : Many different types of food can fit into a
balanced meal plan.
(1) Carbohydrates: They are the compound a made up of three elements: carbon,
nydrogen and oxygen. The proportion of hydrogen and oxygen should be the
same as in water. The carbohydrates in our food are obtained mainly from
the plants sources like wheat, rice, maize, potatoes, sago (sabu-dana), peas,
beans and fruit. Milk also contains a sugar called lactose. The sugar 1s also
obtained from food. The world's three main cereal crops (or starchy food)
which provide us carbohydrates are: wheat, rice and maize. They consist
also abundant of starch. Wheat is used for preparing roti, bread. Rice is used
in various other form of food products such as roti, bread, noodles, rice, dosa,
idli, potatoes.
(2) Proteins: Proteins are highly complex organic compound made up of carbon,
hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen. Some of the protein also contain elements
such as sulphur and phosphorus. protein'sare very important in our food for
growth and repair of the body. The properties or function of proteins depend
on the amino acids of which they are made. Some proteins
contain all the
amino acids required by our body where as others contain only some of them.
We can get proteins from plant sources as well as animal sources. Some of
plant proteins are ground-nuts, beans, whole cereals like wheat, maize and
pulses. Some of the best sources of animal proteins are lean meat (meat
without fats) fish, eggs, milk and cheese.
(3) Fats: Fats are esters of long chain fatty acids and an alcohol called
The fats are actually made of the same three elements carbon, glycerol.
and oxygen. The difference lies in the fact that fats contain less hydrogen,
of oxygen. It consists of three molecules of a fatty acid and one proportion

glycerol. Fats are supplied to our body by many foods items like butter, milk,
egg, etc. All the cooking oils provide us fats. "The fats which we

for work. The above function of diet can be achieved only through adequate nutrition
which should consist of essential nutrients in the required proportion. These
outrients include proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals, vitamins.

ATP produced from oxidative phosphorylation is transported from the
mitochondrial matrix to the cytoplasm, whereas ADP is inner
cytoplasm to the mitochondrial matrix. More than 10% of the protein in the
mitochondrial membrane consists of ATP-ADP translocase.
ATP-ADP translocase transports ATP synthesized from oxidative
phosphorylation into the cytoplasm, where it can be used as the principal energy
currency of the cell to power thermodynamically unfavorable reactions. Human
typically exchanges the equivalent of his/her own mass of ATP on a daily basis,
ATP-ADP translocase is an important transporter protein with major metabolic
implications.
