1. Upon completion of each welding pass, the weld shall be cleaned of spatter, slag and flux deposite. Inter-pass cleaning shall be done
by grinding and brushing
2. Welding area shall be adequately protected from wind and moisture during implementation.
3. Welding of joints shall be completed in one continuous operation. Where interruption is unavoidable, at least 30% of weld joint
thickness over the full weld length shall be completed before welding is discontinued.
4. In cases where the gap during fitting up is larger than 1mm, FCAW-G may be used as a seal weld. The thickness of this seal shall not
exceed 5 mm. The minimum depth of the excavated groove is 10 mm.
