The advantages & disadvantages of the Internet

Today I would like to talk about some advantages and disadvantages of the
computer. Nowadays people all over the world make use of the Internet. Although
it brings great benefits, it causes problems as well.

What are the advantages? There are two main points I’d like to present.
Firstly, The Internet helps us to get information quickly. In fact, with a mouse click,
it brings us the information of all fields. We can explore around the world in no
time. We not only update the latest news but also get information we need.

Secondly, the Internet is an amazing tool to enable us to do nearly anything and


helps us to keep up with increasingly developing technology. Nowadays, humans
have various creative technologies to increase living qualities. For example, we can
access to mankind’s cilivization or can find about human’s history. Moreover, the
Internet brings us plenty of opportunities to gain achievements in learning,
teaching, and breakthroughs in communication, shopping, relaxation, transferring
money, etc. so we know an important internet to our life. Besides, the Internet
helps brings the world closer through multilateral communication and coordination

Despite having a number of advantages mentioned above, the Internet can’t help
causing worries and issues which we should consider.

Firstly, the information from the Internet is not always true because its reliability is
not yet checked. Therefore, misunderstanding, conflicts through social networks
are inevitable.

Secondly, the Internet is not totally safe for the users if we use it carelessly. Our
personal information may be leaked or stolen by some hackers; spam messages,
junk mail or even kinds of viruses may attack our computer programmes

In addition, spending excessive time on the Internet causes us to be addicted to it


and we easily get ill. So, it is advisable to use the Internet wisely and reasonably.

In short, the Internet, in itself, is not good nor bad. It depends on the way we use it.
We should maximize the most of it and minimize the possible risks when using it.
