LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to ask and answer at least four questions about
M Max’s city in pairs.
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to read and understand specific information and
C details of simple text by answering at least four questions correctly..
1. Review previous lesson on there’s, there isn’t, there are and there aren’t.
2. Say true or false statements about the pupils’ town/area.
e.g. There isn’t any monument in this town/area. , There’s a famous Nasi Kandar

3. If it is true, pupils stay sitting at their desks. If it is false, pupils stand up.
4. Invite pupils to correct any false statements.
5. Activity 1:
a. Pupils complete the text with the correct words. (Activity 3 SB pg 20)
b. They compare phrases with a partner.
c. Check answers with the class.
6. Activity 2:
a. Pupils write questions about Max’s city using the sentence starters and answer the
questions. (DS)
b. Put pupils into pairs to compare, and then ask and answer the questions orally.

7. Activity 3:
Lesson
a. Read out the instructions and check that pupils understand the bingo game. (Act 5
delivery
SB pg21/TB pg 35)
b. Pupils work in groups of four and write their comparative forms in the bingo table.
c. Choose a confident pupil to be the game leader.
d. The game leader calls out the comparative forms in a random order.
e. The first pupil to hear and tick off all their words is the winner.
f. If you have time, repeat the game by brainstorming twelve other adjectives that
pupils know, e.g. good, bad, boring, tall, short, new, happy, interesting, nice, fast,
slow and write them on the board.
g. Pupils choose six adjectives and write the comparative forms, then play the game
again.
8. Ask pupils to think about their learning and performance in this unit.
Post lesson 9. They then complete the self-assessment worksheet. (DS)
10. Collect the worksheets from pupils and review them to note pupils’ responses.
