I. Objective

A. Motivation
Show a mystery box.
Inside the mystery box are real objects that can make a compound word.
The teacher will pick two object and ask the student to name the object
then, the teacher will write the answer on of the student and the two words
to make a new word using the object that the teacher shown.
Example:
+ = Basketball
Basket Ball
Question: What do we to the words? What happen when we add the two
words?
B. Presentation
Show a picture wherein children are playing basketball in the playground.
Question: What can you see in the picture?
What are the children doing?
What do you called their game?
So, class a Compound Words is formed when two words joined together to
make a new word.
C. Learning Activities
Activity 1
Using a printed picture. The teacher will show a two picture and the call
someone to pick the correct picture that is formed.

Activity 2
The teacher will flash an emoji and will let the student guess what
compound words is formed with the given emoji. 1 minute will be given to
student for each item.
Ex.

The class will be divided into 4 groups. Numbers are pasted under their chair
and whatever they get, correspond to their group. Each group will be given
an activity where they look for the compound words.
