SECTION 806: Size and Dimensions of rooms.

1. Human Habitation: Minimum area of 6.00 m² with at least 2.00 m on one


side.

2. Kitchens: Minimum area of 3.00 m² with at least 1.50 m on one side.

3. Bath and Toilets: Minimum area of 1.20 m² with at least 0.90 m on one
side.

SECTION 807: Air Space Requirements in Determining the Size of Rooms

1. School Rooms: 3.00 m³ per person, with 1.00 m² of floor area.

2. Workshops, Factories, Offices:12.00 m³ per person.

3. Habitable Rooms: 14.00 m³ per person.

SECTION 808: Window Openings

Rooms without artificial ventilation must have windows totaling at least 10%
of the floor area. Windows must open to a court, yard, street, alley, or
watercourse.

Section 1210: Penthouses and Roof Structures

(a) Height:

- Penthouses for tanks or elevators may extend up to 8.40 meters above the
roof.

- For all other uses, height is limited to 3.60 meters.

(b) Area:

- Total penthouse and roof structure area must not exceed one-third of the
supporting roof area.

(c) Prohibited Uses:


- Roof structures cannot be used for purposes other than housing mechanical
equipment or protecting roof openings.

- If used for other purposes, they must meet additional storey requirements.

(d) Construction:

- Roof structures must meet the building’s main construction standards

1. On Type III/IV buildings, exterior walls and roofs 1.50 meters or more from
property lines can be one-hour fire-resistive, incombustible.

2. Walls 1.50 meters or more from exterior walls of Type IV buildings can
also be one-hour fire-resistive, incombustible.

- Wood flagpoles or similar structures are allowed on roofs.

(e) Towers and Spires:

- Enclosed towers/spires must match the building’s exterior wall


requirements.

- Unenclosed towers over 20 meters high must use iron, steel, or reinforced
concrete.

- Towers/spires cannot exceed one-fourth of the building’s street frontage or


150 m² base area unless meeting building type and height standards.

- Skeleton towers over 7.50 meters high must be of incombustible material,


withstand wind loads, and be supported on non-combustible frameworks to
the ground.
