For a 100 ft of pipe length, the line loss shall be 0.076 psi/100ft * 100ft

Sizing of the pump suction lines shall be based on running one pump on full flow and one on minimum flow.

Pump capacity 700 gpm (One pump running)


For minimum flow allows for 150% of pump capacity,
Total pump capacity = (700 * 1.5) gpm 1050 gpm

A 12" line selected for the common header, P-5093-AHA7 with a velocity of 2.98 ft/s and unit pressure drop
of 0.062 psi/100ft.
Similarly, a 10" line is selected for pump suction, P-5120-AHA7 with a velocity of 4.27 ft/s and unit pressure drop
of 0.155 psi/100ft.

For a 100 ft of pipe length for the 12" common header, the line loss shall be 0.062 psi/100ft * 100ft
