Reported Speech (Estilo Indirecto)

● Present simple → Past simple → "I like ice cream," she said. → She said she liked ice
cream.
● Present continuous → Past continuous → "I am watching TV," he said. → He said he
was watching TV.
● Past simple → Past perfect → "I bought a car," she said. → She said she had bought
a car.
● Past continuous → Past perfect continuous → "I was sleeping," he said. → He said
he had been sleeping.
● Will → Would → "I will help you," she said. → She said she would help me.
● Can → Could → "I can swim," he said. → He said he could swim.
● Must → Had to → "I must go," he said. → He said he had to go.

2. Cambios en pronombres y adverbios.

📌 Palabras que cambian en el estilo indirecto:

● Today → That day
● Tomorrow → The next day / The following day
● Yesterday → The day before
● Now → Then
● This → That
● These → Those
● Here → There

● Se usa if o whether para preguntas de sí/no. (Yes or No questions)
● Se elimina auxiliar do/does/did en WH- Questions (what, where, why, etc.).

Ejemplos:

● "Are you coming?" → He asked if I was coming.

● "What do you want?" → She asked what I wanted.

Ejemplos:

● "Close the door," she said. → She told me to close the door.
● "Don't touch that!" he said. → He told me not to touch that.
● "Let's go to the beach," she said. → She suggested going to the beach.
