Project-based Course Overview

Welcome!
Welcome to Design Digital Course Collateral using Canva. This is a project-based course which
should take approximately 2 hours to finish. Before diving into the project, please take a look at the
course objectives and structure:

Course Objectives
In this course, we are going to focus on five learning objectives:

1. By the end of the task, you will be able to demonstrate the use of design elements to create a
course promo graphic.

2. By the end of the task, you will be able to design a checklist for a digital course.

3. By the end of the task, you will be able to convert a standard pdf into a fillable PDF.

4. By the end of the task, you will be able to apply design elements to create a course worksheet.

5. By the end of the task, you will be able to manipulate existing design elements to create a
certificate of completion.

By the end of this course, you will design digital course collateral using Canva for use in marketing
your business and in digital courses.

Course Structure
This course is divided into 3 parts:

1. Course Overview: This introductory reading material.


2. Desing Digital Course Collateral using Canva: This is the hands on project that we will work
on.
3. Graded Quiz: This is the final assignment that you need to pass in order to finish the course
successfully.

Project Structure
The hands on project on Create Amazing Marketing Designs using Canva is divided into the
following tasks:

Task 1: Create a Course Promo Graphic.


Task 2: Create a Course Checklist.
Task 3: Create a Fillable PDF.
Task 4: Create a Worksheet for a Digital Course.
Task 5: Create a Course Certificate for a Digital
Course.

Meet the Instructor


Hi! I am Stacey and I will be your instructor for this course. I have about 19 years of experience in
various business and marketing instructional and industry positions. I started my career teaching
high school business, marketing, and technology courses. In addition to teaching in public schools
around the United States, I have worked in a variety of business environments which have allowed
me to see all aspects of business and development, to include marketing and graphic design. One of
my favorite aspects of marketing and design is understanding a target audience and how to best
reach it. I have my MBA and PhD and a passion for teaching others skills that will allow them to grow
personally and professionally.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending most of my time outdoors on the water, in my garden, or
on my motorcycle. I also love to travel and read.

Welcome to the course!

About workspaces
In this project, you will be assigned a virtual workspace that has all the required software pre-
installed. This will allow you to follow along with the instructor to complete the work. After all, we
learn best with active, hands-on learning.
