1.
What are the technological devices that are normally
used in a language class? Sometimes the classroom may have just one computer or it may be filled with the latest multimedia equipment. 2. What could be some of the issues of why an LCD projector doesn’t work in the classroom? If the LCD projector isn’t placed on top of a traditional overhead projector the LCD projector won’t work also you should use higher quality projectors that require permanent installation. 3. What are some considerations when preparing content on the computer that is to be projected in the classroom? You have to consider the seating arrangement to keep the students’ interest on your class also you have to create a good atmosphere in your classroom in order to help your students feel confortable during the class also the position of the computers is another aspect that you have to consider and have the adequate ventilation space behind the computers, if you want to use the rest of the computers for the class you have to check if the computers have the hardware and software necessary to manipulate text, view pictures and play sounds and video files. 4. What are some of the most common problems I have seen teachers have when using technology in the classroom? Sometimes the teacher doesn’t know how to use the projector and the students have to help. Frequently the teacher is presenting his class and the projector turns off at the middle of the presentation for an unknown reason, also the presentation sometimes have a design and colors that makes difficult read the information.
5. What are some of the most common problems I have
had when presenting a topic in class while using technology?
Sometimes we use just one computer to present but for
some reason the computer doesn’t recognize the usb and we have some problems to present, also when we include a gift, video or an audio in our presentation we don’t have the adequate equipment to present successfully the information and we can’t watch the video or listen the audio. 6. How can the stated and discussed problems be avoided? If the teacher check the equipment after the class and even if he tried the projector and the computer the presentation would be successful. 7. How can one prepare for the situation in which all technology fails yet the class can still be successfully carried out? I truly think that plan b is the best option because if all technology fails you can have an activity or some worksheet that can work for the class.
