PIU Ludhiana requires following specialists purely on contractual basis for
Surface Water Supply Project (World Bank Project): -

1. Project Manager

2. Deputy Project Manager

3a. Sr. Treatment Plant Engineer (Executive Engineer Level)

3b. Site Engineer for plant (JE/AE Level)

4a. Sr. Pipeline Engineer (Executive Engineer Level)

4b. Site Engineer (JE/AE Level) for pipeline

5. Site Engineer (JE/AE Level) FOR OHSR

6. Environmental Safeguard Specialist

7. Health and Safety Expert

8. Procurement Specialist

9. Draftsman cum AutoCAD Expert

1 Project Manager 1 Degree in Civil with experience of approx. 20 years
including experience in managing and execution of
infrastructure development works related to Canal based
Water Supply Scheme. Experience in Govt. sector is
desirable. Experience in handling WTP, Pipeline Works and
OHSRs including SCADA Systems. Coordination with
Contractors for ensuring smooth Planning and Execution of
Project Activities to achieve the Contractual Progress
Milestones. Should have managed several projects and
staff.
Salary- 1,70,000- 2,20,000/-p.m.
2 Dy. Project Manager 1 Degree in Civil/Mechanical with experience of approx. 15
years of experience managing and executing infrastructure
development works related to Canal based Water Supply
Schemes. Experience in Govt. sector is desirable.
Experience in handling WTP, Pipeline Works and OHSRs
including SCADA Systems. Coordination with Contractors
for ensuring smooth Planning and Execution of Project
Activities to achieve the Contractual Progress Milestones.
Preference to PG or eq in WS engineering.
Salary- 1,50,000- 2,00,000/-p.m.
3 Sr. Treatment Plant 1 Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering with 10-15 years’
(a) Engineer (Executive experience working in a government department / private
Engineer Level) sector for the execution of infrastructure development
works related to Water Supply Schemes - key expertise
should be the construction of WTP. Prefer PG in Public
Health Engineering or equal. Working knowledge of
SCADA systems is desirable. Experience in Supervision
works for the installation of pumping machinery is also
desirable. Should be qualified enough to review design &
drawings of the water treatment systems. Knowledge of
water transmission and the overhead Service Reservoirs is
additional advantage.
Salary- 1,50,000- 1,85,000/-p.m.
3(b) Site Engineers 1 For Junior Engineer (J.E.) position- candidates should

(WTP), is desirable. Additionally, experience in supervising
the installation of pumping machinery, taking
measurements, preparing running and final bills, quantity
surveying, and BOQ preparation is essential. Knowledge of
modern and digital survey techniques, along with
proficiency in preparing AutoCAD drawings, is also
required.
Salary- For AE: 75,000 - 1,00,000/-
For JE: 50,000 - 75,000/-
4(a) Sr. Pipe Line Engineer 1 Degree Civil / Mechanical Engineering with 10-15 years’
(Executive Engineer experience of working in government department / private
Level) sector for execution of infrastructure development works
related to Water Supply/Sewerage, Oil & Gas etc. Schemes
including laying, jointing and testing of large diameter DI
and MS pipelines. Demonstrable experience in construction
supervision and commissioning of transmission mains is
essential. Should highly qualified / experienced to Review
Design & drawings of the water transmission, prepared by
 Construction Contractor.
Salary- 1,50,000- 1,85,000/-p.m.

4(b) Site Engineers Pipeline 4 For Junior Engineer (J.E.) position- candidates should
(Asst. Engineer /Junior have a degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering with at least

Pipeline For Assistant Engineer (A.E.) position- a degree in
Civil/Mechanical Engineering with 8 years of experiences
required.

considered for the A.E. role, while for J.E., a diploma with
5years of experience is required.
Experience in working with govt/private sector for execution
of water supply/ sewerage, oil & gas etc. infrastructure
development works mainly laying and testing and
commissioning of Pipeline. Demonstrated experienced in
construction supervision and commissioning of water
transmission mains is essential. Experience in taking
measurements, preparing running and final bills, quantity
surveying, and BOQ preparation is essential. Knowledge of
modern and digital survey techniques, along with
proficiency in preparing AutoCAD drawings, is also
required. Max age should be 45 years.
Salary For A.E- 75,000- 1,00,000/- p.m.
For J.E.-50,000- 75,000/- p.m

6 Environmental 1 M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences or equivalent minimum 8
Safeguard Specialist years’ experience in state, central or ULB level or Urban
Poverty Alleviation, Knowledge of Environmental Impact
Assessment, Environmental Management Plan, Forest
Clearances, Environmental Monitoring, Environmental &
Social Audit.
Salary 1,00,000/- 1,10,000/- p.m.
7 Health & Safety 1 Suitable graduation preferably in occupational health,
Specialist Safety and Environment Management or diploma/training in
Safety/EHS from NICMAR or equivalent with 5 years of
experience in working on major construction sites.
Salary- 80,000 – 90,000/- p.m.
8 Procurement Specialist 1 A good engineering or management
degree with 5-7 years of handling
procurements and managing
contracts for infrastructural projects.
Law with advanced degree, diploma
or training in contracts and
procurement administration is
desirable.
Salary-75,000 – 1,25,000/- p.m.
 9 Draftsman cum 1 B.E. Civil/ Architecture or Diploma Civil/ Architecture /
AutoCAD Expert Draftsman ship
Salary-35,000/- p.m.
