When you round a number to the nearest something, you look at the next
digit. If the digit is 0 to 4, you round down ; 5 to 9, you round up.
For example, if you round 149,285 to the nearest 100,000 , you look at the
10,000s digit which is 4 here. So, you round down to 100,000.
Negative
__ Numbers
The bigger the negative number looks, the smaller it actually is. (-10 < -5)
If you add a positive and a negative number, you subtract them and the answer will
have the symbol(+,-) of the bigger number.
-x-y = -(x+y) . For example, -4-5 = -9
If there are two minuses together, it turns into plus. [ 7-(-5) = 7+5 = 12]
