brahma-tirtha of

• Chant om naray ana y a namah and sip water from the


brahma-tirtha of y our right hand.
• Chant om madhava y a namah and sip water f rom the
brahma-tirtha of y our right hand.
• Chant om govinda y a namah and sprinkle water on
y our right hand.

• Chant om visnave namah and sprinkle water on y our


left hand.
• Chant om madhusudana y a namah and touch y our
right cheek with the fingers of y our right hand.
• Chant om trivikrama ya namah and touch y our left
cheek with the fingers of y our right hand;
• Chant om vamana y a namah and wipe above y our
upper lip with the base of y our right thumb.
• Chant om sridhara ya namah and wipe below y our
lower lip with the base of y our right thumb .
• Chant om hrsikesa y a namah and sprinkle water on
both hands.
• Chant om padmanabha y a namah and sprinkle water
on y our feet.
• Chant om damodara y a namah and sprinkle water on the
top of y our head.
• Chant om vasudeva y a namah and touch your upper and
lower lips with the tips of the fingers of y our right hand.
• Chant om sankarsana y a namah and touch y our
right nostril with y our right thumb and forefinger.
• Chant om prady umnay a namah and touch y our left
nostril with y our right thumb and forefinger.
• Chant om aniruddha y a namah and touch your right eye
with y our right thumb and ring f inger.
• Chant om purusottama y a namah and touch y our
left eye with y our right thumb and ring finger.
• Chant om adhoksaja y a namah and touch your right ear
with y our right thumb and foref inger.
• Chant om nrsimha y a namah and touch your left ear
with y our right thumb and foref inger.
• Chant om acyuta y a namah and touch your navel
with your right thumb and little finger.
• Chant om janardana y a namah and touch your heart
with the palm of y our right hand.

• Chant om upendra y a namah and touch your head


with all the fingertips of y our right hand.
• Chant om haray e namah and touch y our right upper
arm with the fingertips of y our left hand.
• Chant om krsnay a namah and touch y our left upper arm with
the fingertips of y our right hand

(om) tad visnoh pa ramam padam soda

jagrv amsah samindhate visnor
yat par amam pada m
Now chant the following mantra f rom the Rg Veda while
showing the pranama­ mudra (palms together in f ront of
y our heart):

Just as those with ordinary vision see the sun's rays in the sky, so the
wise and learned devotees always see the supreme abode of Lord Visnu.
Because those
highly praiseworthy andspiritually awake brahmanas can
see that abode, they can also reveal it to others.[Rg Veda
Samhita 1.22.20-2 1)
