University of Maryland School of Medicine, Institute for Genome Sciences, summer 2010 Experience programming in Perl, HTML and Javascript -I wrote scripts that ran daily and checked for errors in newly added pipelines Experience with Virtual Box -I worked on several machines at the same time by connecting to nodes using VB Experience with SourceForge -I stored and updated all my files through an online database Johnson&Johnson Cordis Coorporation, summer 2011 Experience with image processing and MATLAB -I wrote several programs that processes mass spectrometry images GUI design -Experiencing designing graphical user interfaces using Matlab and Java Interests: I have a found fascination with computers and their functionality, and plan to study both the hardware and software sides of computer development. I first began programming in a high school C++ class. I have since then taken multiple classes in C++ and Java, and experimented on my own with Perl. I have also assembled circuits on a breadboard, and soldered as part of my college education. Currently, I am majoring in Computer Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University. In the future I plan to minor in artificial intelligence, and learn more about the logic of machines. Skills: Through my own research, my classes, and my experience at my internships, I have learned many aspects of computer science, as well the functionality of a professional workplace. I am able to program freely in Java, C++ and Perl, work in the Linux and Widows environments, set up and monitor computer networks and create web pages. Lately, I have also mastered Matlab, and the art of processing three-dimantional images. Additionally, I have also learned to work as part of a team, and manage my time around a 40-hour work week. Other skills: I am fluent in English, Russian, and Spanish
