Give them whatever they want. Get the hell out of there.
Knives
There is no such thing as a knife fight. In close quarters, knives are more dangerous than guns. Knives have a limited range, but are deadly in a 360 degree arc around the attacker. Getting distance and escaping is the only reasonable method of dealing with an attacker armed with a knife.
Guns
Extremely lethal in a straight line. Extremely loud. The maximum effective range of the average pistol is about 150 feet (50 meters). The bullet can still travel up to 5400 feet (1800 meters) at an unreliable trajectory.
Disarming?
All disarms and drills we go over today are designed to give you an appreciation for weapon lethality. There are no guaranteed techniques that will work 100 percent of the time. Do not attempt any of this in real life unless you have good reason to believe that your attacker intends to kill you.
Weapons of Opportunity
Nearly anything you pick up can be a weapon Develop a Weapon of Opportunity mindset
