ABOUT K.S.T.P.S.
The “KOTA SUPER THERMAL
POWER STATION” is ideally
located on the left bank of Chambal
River at the upstream of “KOTA
BARRAGE” to produce Electrical
Power for supply to “Rajasthan
Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam”, a
state undertaking. K.S.T.P.S. is
designed for ultimate capacity of
1240 MW.
INSTALLATION of UNITS
Construction work for unit started in 1977
Unit I 110 MW was synchronized on 17th Jan.1983.
Unit II 110 MW was synchronized on 13th July 1983.
Unit III 210 MW was synchronized on 25th Sept.1988.
Unit IV 210 MW was synchronized on 1st May 1989.
Unit V 210 MW was synchronized on 26th March 1994.
Unit VI 195 MW was synchronized on 31st July, 2003.
Unit VII 195 MW is synchronized in 2009 (but not working properly.)
