MANAGEMENT
• Event management is the process of analysing,
planning, marketing, producing and Evaluating
an Event.
• The process of planning and coordinating the
event is known as event management.
• Events create opportunities for people to
connect with an area, spend time together,
celebrate and experience the diversity of
cultures and foster creativity and
innovation.
• Event is an opportunity for a leisure, social or
cultural experience outside the normal range of
choices or beyond everyday experience

Pre Event Activities
• Team consisting of
1.Project manager :ultimately responsible for the execution of the event.
Manages the budget. Drives strategy. Makes top-level purchasing
decisions.
2. Person in charge of Venue
This person is the main contact for the venue, the vendors, the sponsors
while on-site, and the onsite volunteers and staff: security, photography,
and food/beverage.
• Person in charge of Scheduling
This person leads agenda development, works with speakers, and makes
sure the schedule is up-to-date and communicated to the right parties.
• Creative designers
• Creative designers put together all visual designs for printed and web
materials like schedules, collateral, registration and signage
• Marketing and Communications
• This person or team makes the right people aware of the event, creates
offers and timing strategy to boost registration, oversees branding,
communicates with registrants, coordinates social media amplification
and media relations, and sends and measures follow-up materials. Oh,
and they’re just nuts for measurable performance.
• Sponsorships
• This team member works to map out booth spaces, sell sponsorship
opportunities, maintain relationships with sponsors, and explore
community organization relationships.
