COMPUTERS OWNERS
Background of the study
Internet is one of the most important and beneficial invention of
man. Because of this, people worldwide find means to have an easy and
fast communication, research for study purposes become convenient and
serve as a good source of income for businessmen. A computer rental shop
is a place where one can use of a computer with internet access, most for a
fee, usually per hour or minute; sometimes one can have unmetered access
with a pass for a day or month, etc.
According to Yee (2018) these types of establishment are very
popular in manila particular with the district of Sampaloc which
is primarily a residential, commercial and educational center.
Internet rental shops started out in the late 1990s as LAN shops-
a center in which computers are networked in order to play LAN
games.
Internet connection then was dial up and relatively expensive
therefore only a few shops offered internet services. The bulk of
service back then was gaming and typing services for student.
Establishing computer rental business needs determination of the
following, important factors such as computer hardware, computer
software, people ware, and target market and business model.
Computers rental shops in the Philippines provide communities with
the ability to access the internet and share Internet experiences.
Computer shop owner may have experienced problems regarding
their business. Time have been hard for them. It seems like every day,
owners have become more cautious amid economic and financial
uncertainly.
The findings of this research study hope to give useful insights

for customers, person that starting to build a computer shop, students
who use computer to research their needed and for owner to improve
a business.
Statement of the Problem
This study aims to explore the lived experiences of computer

shop owner experiences the ups and down of a business.
Specifically, it sought to answer this following;
1.What is lived experience of newly hired computer owner in the
computer shop?
2.How they describe their day-to-day experience as newly computer
shop owner?
3. How these experiences shape and influence them in becoming a
successful computer shop owner?
Theoretical Framework
The general theory of innovation was created by Greg Yezersky.

The researchers saw this theory as related in their study; in order to run
a successful business especially handling a computer shop business, the
owners should identify first the needs of the environment so they can
catch up the trend. After identifying the needs, it is then time to identify
the problems that needs to be addressed. Then evaluate the solution
which is in the case of the researchers, it is the innovation of facilities.
Significance of the study
This paper serves as information about how the owner of computer
shops manage the stability of their success business and the big help of
computer shops to people especially the students when doing there,
assignments, projects, and researches. This research was anticipated to
contribute additional information to serve the following individuals.
Computer shop owners. This research served as a tool for
evaluation of the according system and operational concerns such as
policies and operational procedures within their computer shop.
This will enable them to evaluate or access the strengths
and weaknesses of the implemented strategies and operational
concerns such as policies and operational procedures.
Employees in the computer shop. The employees int the

computer rental shops will benefit in this research as the employees
will be able to become aware of the policies and procedures
implemented within their shop. Likewise, part of this research
recommends some possible solutions on the problems encountered
by the employees concerning about their customers complaints.
Prospective owner. This research will be beneficial to the people
who want to engage in this kind of business. This will serve as a
guidelines and framework on what are the advantages of computer
business, operate and what are the factors to succeed in this business.
Hence, this research will give concrete guidelines to these people on how
they will manage the business effectively and efficiently.
Customers. This research will enlighten their awareness about the
computer rental shop’s profile in terms of effectiveness of the
implementations of operational concerns such as policies and operational
procedures of the shop.
General Public. This research will enlighten their awareness
about the computer rental shop’s profile in terms of advocating
environmental activities and socio-economic contributions. Further, this
will also serve as a basis for the public to evaluate if the computer rental
business really implements policies and operational procedures that
considers the environment as well as the wellness of this society.
Research. This will be an effective tool and reference for the
researchers who would intend to make any further relevant research
particularly benefits on managing a computer shops.
To Future Entrepreneurs. This study may be used by aspiring
owners as they put up a computer shop business. This may give them
information regarding on how the owner of computer shop cope up with
the challenges encountered by them.

Definition of Terms
For better understanding and interpretation of this research,
the following terms are operationally defined.
Experience-is a human experience as it is experienced, one

which tries to sustain contact with experience as it is given. This can
be achieved only by a phenomenological method of description
(Colaizzi, 1973, p.53).
- As used in the study it is the experience and knowledge gained through
living of computer owners.
Computer shop owner- a person who owns a computer shop
business, a person or organization having responsibilities for the
development, procurement, integration, modification, operation and
maintenance of an information system. (English dictionary, 201
- In this study, they are the one who operates the computer shop and
was the respondents of this study.
Computer- an electronic machine that can store and work with
large amount of information.
Business structure-This refers to the forms of business the
computer rental shop is engaged in, whether franchised, branch, or
other forms of business structure.
Charge per hour-This refers to the hourly rate charged by the shop to
the customer upon renting the computer.
Scope and Delimitation of the Study
The research discussed the challenges that were experienced by the
owners of computer shop business. The research focused only on the ways
they used to deal with the problem they encountered and their approach.
The respondents of the study were the computer shop owners. This cover
the period of May 2023 to June 2023.
This qualitative research used phenomenology approach and utilized semi-
structured, face too face interviews, using a pre-prepared guide questions
in data collection in a neutral setting. This investigation focused and limited
only to the real-life, day to day experiences of computer owner based on
