Presentation of research proposal

What is the title of your research ?

"Papaya-based Bioplastics:
A Promising Sustainable Alternative
to Traditional Plastics"
What is the issue/problem/relationship
you want to solve/explore?
• The general situation or issue to be explored is
the growing environmental concern associated
with traditional plastics and the need for
sustainable alternatives. The focus is on papaya-
based bioplastics as a potential solution to
reduce the dependence on fossil-fuel-based
plastics and mitigate their negative impact on
the environment
What is the general situation/ circumstance
that makes you develop your research
proposal?

Traditional plastics come from fossil fuels and have a

huge negative impact on the environment.
Us researchers have been working to
create sustainable substitutes, including bioplastics,
to address these problems.Because of their
biodegradability, renewability, and availability in our
environment, papaya besed-bioplastic have
become a promising substitute.
Why is this situation/circumstances
important?

The ability to offer a sustainable and renewable alternative to conventional

petroleum-based plastics is the key benefit of using papaya seeds to produce
bioplastics.

The fruit can be collected for its papaya seeds without harming the plant, and
they are easily accessible.
What do you intend to do?

This study likely intends to evaluate and explore the

potential of using papaya fruit waste as a raw material
for producibg bioplastics. This study may aim to
investigate the production process ,the environmental
benefits, and the challenges associated with papaya
based bioplastics.
Significance of your research

• Why is you study important?

-This study is important as it addresses various environmental and
economic challenges,it considered the environmental impacts because this
study investigates the potential of utilizing papaya fruit waste to produce
bioplastics and this study also contributes to waste reduction and helps
prevent additional agricultural waste

• Who or what industry will benefit, How?

-Packaging Industry, Food and Beverage Industry, Automotive Industry, Agriculture
Industry, Textile Industry, Electronics Industry
Why is this situation/circumstances
important?

Traditional plastics come from fossil fuels and have a

huge negative impact on the environment.
Us researchers have been working to
create sustainable substitutes, including bioplastics,
to address these problems.Because of their
biodegradability, renewability, and availability in our
environment, papaya besed-bioplastic have
become a promising substitute.
• Will it solve a particular problem? Yes
• Will it offer a new way of thinking? Yes
• Will it give a new direction towards
enhancement of practice? Yes
•Will it prove/disprove something? Yes
•Will it solve/contribute to a certain
Debate? Yes
•Will it add evidence to a developing
body of knowledge? Yes
•Will it develop a new theory,
Prototype, model, process, tool, etc.? Yes
What are the current/ relevant topics and
Literature related to this situation/
circumstances?

Traditional plastics come from fossil fuels and have a

huge negative impact on the environment.
Us researchers have been working to
create sustainable substitutes, including bioplastics,
to address these problems.Because of their
biodegradability, renewability, and availability in our
environment, papaya besed-bioplastic have
become a promising substitute.
What are the gaps in the existing
Literature?

Limited studies on papaya bioplastics, Lack of standardized

characterization protocols, Understanding the molecular
structure, Long-term stability and degradation, Scale-up and
commercial feasibility, Comparative analysis with other
bioplastics
What makes your study different from
previous studies?

Our study is different from previous study because

We emphasize the sustainability aspect of papaya-
based bioplastic we not only analyze the mechanical
properties feasibility of using papaya waste for
bioplastic, but we also consider the environmental
empact and potential benefits of utilizing this
waste material.
What questions would you answer?

1. How are papaya-based bioplastics produced and

what are their properties compared to traditional
plastics?
2. What are the environmental benefits of using
papaya-based bioplastics?
3. What are the potential applications and limitations
of papaya-based bioplastics?
What are the parameters of your study?

Traditional plastics come from fossil fuels and have a

huge negative impact on the environment.
Us researchers have been working to
create sustainable substitutes, including bioplastics,
to address these problems.Because of their
biodegradability, renewability, and availability in our
environment, papaya besed-bioplastic have
become a promising substitute.
What is the design of your study

•The design of your study is Experimental

Who or what will be the sample for your
study?

•Consumers and potential users

Why did you choose this/these samples?
How many?
• Engaging with consumers who are interested in eco-friendly
alternatives to conventional plastics would reveal important details
about their preferences, attitudes, and potential obstacles to utilizing
papaya-based bioplastics.

• The number of samples will depend on us

How will you select your sample?

• We will choose a sample that is willing to participate

What tool will you use in gathering your
data?
Do you need to obtain informed consent
from parents, DSWD, and other agencies?

-No
Do you need to get the name of the
respondents?

-No

Do you need to label your subjects?

-No
How would you analyze you data?
