Dig a hole twice as wide and deep as the tree's root ball. Mix compost or well- rotted manure into the soil before planting. Water the tree thoroughly after planting. Propagation : Sexual & Asexual Irrigation • Avocado trees require regular watering, especially during the dry season. However, ensure that the soil drains well to prevent waterlogging, which can cause root rot. • Protection from Cold: In colder regions or during winter months, provide protection to avocado trees from frost and cold winds. Mulching around the base of the tree can help regulate soil temperature.
