how communication is influenced
by media and information.
Communication
Communication is simply the act of transferring
information from one place, person or group to another
(SkillsYouNeed, 2020).
Itis the process of sending and receiving messages
through verbal or nonverbal means, including speech, or
oral communication; writing and graphical
representations (such as infographics, maps, and charts);
and signs, signals, and behavior (Nordquist, 2020).
Fake news refers to deliberate untruths, or
stories that contain some truth but which
aren't completely accurate, by accident or
design.
Some people also claim that truthful
stories are "fake news," just because they
don't agree with them. This can lead to
the dangerous ignoring of vital advice.
Fake news can have a negative impact
on workplace behavior. For example, by
damaging learning culture, and causing
rumor and mistrust to spread. So, it's
vital to know how to separate the real
from the fake. You can do this by
following these six steps:
Develop a critical mindset.
Check the source.
See who else is reporting the story.
Examine the evidence.
Don't take images at face value.
Check that it "sounds right."

The Bottom Line
It’s
been said that information is power. Without a
means of distributing information, people cannot
harness its power. One positive impact of social
media is in the distribution of information in
today’s world.
Platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter,
and others have made it possible to access
information at the click of a button
At the end of the day sharing is
about getting people to see and
respond to content. As long as the
content is still relevant and the
need for information still exists,
it’s always worthwhile for any
organization to use social media
to keep publishing
Remember
There is no right or wrong way to communicate and/or
adapt social media language into our lives. However,
we are all becoming engulfed in this new world of
communication due to the modern technology that we
are currently in. How our communication is being
influenced and affected by these social media
platforms are all up to us. As communication and
information travel faster and faster, the world seems to
get smaller and smaller. It is indeed, a world full of
complications, but proper communication with or
without social media is the key to a better
understanding of information
Thank You!
