Introduction
 Automated Library Operations: Streamlines tasks like book issue, return,
catalog management, and inventory control.

 Digital Access: Users can access the library's catalog from anywhere, reserve
books..etc

 Member Management: Keeps track of student, issue history, fines, and

member profiles.

 Search and Browse Functionality: Allows users to search for books by title,
author or ISBN.
 Notifications and Reminders: Sends automated notifications to users
for due dates, fines, and reservations.

 User Roles and Permissions: Differentiates between user roles such

as librarian, student, and admin with varying access levels.

 Enhanced Security: Protects user data and library records with secure
login and data encryption.
Problem Statement
 Manual Book Tracking: Librarians had to maintain physical registers to record
borrowing, returns, and inventory, leading to frequent errors and mismanagement.

 Time-Consuming Processes: Book searches and inventory updates were slow,

making it hard for students to find books quickly, leading to long queues and
delays.

 Lack of Notifications: No way to notify students about overdue books or

upcoming return dates, often resulting in fines and frustration.

 Limited Access: Only library staff could manually handle book transactions,
limiting student access outside working hours.
Objectives
 Automated Book Management: No more manual entry—books are
easily added, removed, and tracked digitally

 Faster Student Interactions: Borrowing, returning, and reserving

books becomes quick and hassle-free, improving user experience.

 Automated Notifications: Students receive timely reminders about

due dates, minimizing overdue books and fines.

 24/7 Access: Students can access book information and make

transactions online anytime, without relying on staff availability.
DESIGN PROCESS

 Ideation

• Brainstorming: Gather ideas about what the system should include,

like book searches, user accounts, and online borrowing.

• User Needs: Identify what users want from the system, such as ease of
use and quick access to information.

• Feature List: Create a list of key features based on the gathered ideas,
like browsing books digitally.
Challenge
 Manual Data Entry Errors:
• Mistakes in book cataloging or user information due to human error.
 Inefficient Book Search:
• Users struggle to find books due to poor search functionality.
 Overdue Books:
• Difficulty in keeping track of overdue items, leading to penalties or lost books.
 User Data Security:
• Protecting user information and preventing unauthorized access is a challenge.
 Book Misplacement:
• Books not returned to the correct place, making them hard to locate.
SOLUTION
 Automation and Data Validation:
 Use automated cataloging and data validation techniques to reduce human
errors.
 Advanced Search Filters:
 Implement robust search features with filters for authors, subjects to improve
the search experience.
 Automated Notifications:
 Send reminders via SMS or email for upcoming due dates and overdue books
to keep users informed.
 Encryption and Access Control:
 Implement encryption and user-specific access controls to ensure the security
and privacy of user data.
REQUIREMENT
Software Hardware

 Operating system windows 11.  Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 or

above.

 Language: HTML,CSS,
 Hard Disk:512 gb and above.
Tailwindcss AND JAVASCRIPT.

 RAM: Enough RAM to ensure

 Database: My SQL server, smooth operation, typically 8GB or
mongo DB more.

 Back-end: node js, express js  Network: A stable internet

connection for users to access the
system.
FUTURE SCOPE
 AI Integration: Using artificial intelligence to personalize user experiences,
recommend books, and automate administrative tasks.

 Enhanced Accessibility: Making resources available in multiple formats, such as e-

books and audiobooks, to reach more users.

 Mobile Apps: Developing dedicated apps for easier access to library services on
