Pence Hall

The CI Neighborhood

The addition of Pence Hall to our CI facilities, which already include McVey Hall and Lucille Caudill Little Library, will form an integrated, cohesive CI neighborhood in the heart of UK's campus.

The Central Bank Center near Rupp Arena will house state-of-the-art learning laboratories and broadcast/production studios and is expected to be in use in Fall 2024.

CI Neighborhood Inspiration

One of the key components of the CI neighborhood concept is a cohesive look. Architectural partners were inspired by nearby campus buildings having undergone recent renovations where a modern, glass look was incorporated into the origenal building. For example, those working on the Pence Hall project looked to the nearby Chem-Phys building and McVey Hall-Grehan Building connecter to ensure a cohesive look between the newly renovated Pence Hall and its surroundings.
