Scholarships

This scholarship program supports the education of students interested in full-time employment at UK HealthCare upon graduation.

The program offers scholarship funding for up to thirteen (13) credit hours per semester in addition to $20 per credit hour for books and course materials.

Four-year programs: Students attending a four-year program will be awarded a maximum of $624 per credit hour.

Two-year programs: Students attending a two-year program will be awarded a maximum of $189 per credit hour.

This scholarship program is supported by Policy #A01-205. If selected to receive this educational award, you will be asked to sign a contract that details the required workback commitment.

One (1) semester of the scholarship award will be forgiven for every six (6) months (or one quarter for every three months) of productive full-time service in eligible title. Productive full-time service begins once the employee has successfully completed their unit-specific orientation and/or new hire internship. The workback agreement begins after the orientation period. Time worked during school as a scholarship recipient does not count to fulfill the work obligation. If a scholarship recipient fails to meet their work obligation, they will be required to repay the entire or remaining stipend amount, plus accrued interest, and any collection costs.
