June Precipitation

June precipitation ranged from less than 2 inches to more than 7 inches.

Precipitation totals were quite variable in June, with above normal rainfall in the west and north and dry conditions in the southeastern third of the region. With 7.30 inches, Caribou, ME, had its wettest June on record. In addition, three cities in New York had rainfall totals that placed them in the top 10 wettest on record: Buffalo (4th), Syracuse (8th) and Rochester (10th). At the other end of the spectrum, Dulles Airport had its 4th driest June with 1.29 inches, while Islip and Kennedy airports in New York had their 9th driest June.
