We know every patient experiences and handles medical situations differently. We are not sure that we are being given all of the information. My husband would prefer to hear the worst instead of having a carrot dangled in front of him. He don't know definitely that this is the call, but we have came in twice with the idea that surgery would be scheduled just to be told chemo and more chemo was necessary. Roller coaster emotion.

Given my dx I wanted to seek a second opinion and have the UK team help guide me on the best care possible. In this visit I felt as if I should not have explored a second opinion. I appreciate the feedback but the delivery was unprofessional. I should not be made to have stress/worry of insulting my U.K. Team. I am scared of my situation and need guidance not to be made to feel like Im doing something wrong by exploring every option. I have enough stress with my dx. I was very pleased with the thoroughness and length of time that was spent with me going over my situation.

Dr. Kim has wonderful bedside manner and was very kind to me. That being said he was not willing to provide what I believe to be the standard of care for my very rare condition. I am now seeking an out of state second opinion because he claims I am cured of an incurable cancer. I am highly disappointed and do not feel that appendix cancer specialist should be listed as a part of his expertise. I feel as though I was pushed aside because I had surgery somewhere else and do not currently need surgery again, but I do absolutely need monitoring and would prefer that be done by the one specialist I have access to, which is Dr. Kim. He refused me this monitoring and in that he failed me.
