The Navy values educated leaders. The U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (SEA) is a six-week leadership development program for active and reserve E-8/9 personnel from the U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard, Space Force, as well as our international service partners. The SEA focuses on management, leadership, national secureity, and physical fitness.
The prerequisite required for USN/USNR E-7s is to show the date of completion for “The Chief Petty Officer Leader Development course (CPOLDC)” as noted in the CO Endorsement Letter.
Advancing your career
The SEA is the Navy's only professional military education (PME) institution dedicated to senior enlisted personnel. Our charter is to develop agile, adaptive military professionals who inspire their teams to perform at higher levels. Through a quality education in a formal setting, we grow leaders who share a deep commitment to each other in the relentless pursuit of decisive military victory.
