Message from the Chief Justice, JO Hee-de
Welcome to the Supreme Court of Korea.
The sovereignty of the Republic of Korea lies with the people, and each and every civil servant are required to serve the public’s interest.
The Korean judiciary will do its utmost to safeguard the freedom and human rights of the people and will strive to establish law and order in the community firmly.
Our essential task is to ensure that trials and judicial administration are carried out swiftly and fairly according to laws and principles.
The Korean judiciary is continuously committed to upholding laws to ensure the safety and security of the people and will continually attend to the voices of the people to find ways that will be in every citizen’s interest.
