Springfield, Ohio – The Oberlin College football team suffered a 77-0 defeat at Wittenberg University on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers scored 11 touchdowns and racked up 653 yards of offense while holding the Yeomen to just 93.
Wittenberg led 42-0 at the half and never let up, scoring five more second-half touchdowns.
Oberlin quarterback
Drew Nye was 14-of-27 passing for 51 yards and was intercepted once and sacked five times.
Colten Danel was a bright spot on the ground, rushing for 88 yards on 21 carries.
Hunter Green led the defense with 12 tackles and a sack, while
Evan Elliott matched
Brandon Hall with 10 tackles, which included two sacks.
The Yeomen are back in action next week at Denison University. The opening kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
