One of the most important aspects of the Morehead State athletics department is academics, and the department has excellent facilities and staff to provide MSU student-athletes with the best possible technology and know-how to help them succeed in the classroom.
The EAGLE Center (Eagle Athletics Guided Learning and Enhancement Center) is one of the finest student-athlete academic centers in the Ohio Valley Conference. It also rivals some of the top facilities in the nation. The facility was designed to give MSU student-athletes a place to focus on academic responsibilities and work toward their college degrees.
MSU student-athletes benefit from 7,000 square feet of space dedicated to computer labs, learning labs and study space, as well as enhanced staff for academic assistance. The center has wireless internet, seating for 110 student-athletes and 30 computers. Study and Life Skills Workshops are offered throughout each semester.
On an annual basis, Morehead State student-athletes rank among the best in the Ohio Valley Conference. In all, MSU has now claimed an OVC-record 12 Academic Achievement Banners. This award is given to the institution with the highest percentage of all its student-athletes named on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Since 1974, Morehead State has had 47 student-athletes earn CoSIDA Academic All-America status.
