Kyle Weiss is in his first year on the coaching staff for the 2024 season.
Weiss most recently joined Jason Woodman at Fairmont State (W.Va.) following the 2022 season as assistant quarterbacks coach at Pittsburg State (Kan.). At PSU, he helped the Gorillas to a 12-1 mark and the MIAA title.
Prior to PSU, Weiss was the QB ad WR coach at Windermere High School in Florida for the 2021 season.
Weiss went to Florida after a three-year tenure at Minnesota State-Mankato, where helped the Mavericks to a 27-2 record and a national Division II runner-up finish in 2019 as well as helping lead MSU-M to the national semifinals in 2018. He coached two-time All-American wide receiver Shane Zylstra.Â
During the 2017 season, Weiss served as student assistant and director of video at South Dakota. He also was an assistant coach for the Arena Football Sioux City Bandits in 2017.
Weiss started his collegiate career at Midland (Neb.) as a QB and graduated with his bachelor's degree from South Dakota in 2017. He earned his Master's Degree from Pittsburg State.
