Jordan Brooks

With a vast array of experience, Jordan Brooks has joined the Morehead State family as assistant men's basketball coach and is in his first season.

Brooks most recently served two seasons as Assistant Coach at Old Dominion following a season as recruiting director at Xavier.

At Xavier, Brooks helped the Musketeers finish 23-13 and claim the 2021-22 National Invitation Tournament (NIT) title. The Old Dominion Monarchs were 19-12 in his first season.
 
Prior to Xavier, he served coached two years at Southeastern Louisiana and two years at Howard.  Brooks recruited R.J. Cole to Howard, who went on to win MEAC Rookie of the Year and MEAC Player of the Year honors.
 
Brooks helped guide Howard to a massive turnaround in his second season. The Bison finished 17-16 overall and 10-6 in conference play while finishing third in the MEAC and recording the program's first winning regular season in four years. He has also helped the program receive its first post-season bid in more than 20 years, making the College Basketball Invitational (CBI). 
 
Brooks has been recognized as one of the nation's top young coaches as the National Association of Basketball Coaches named Brooks to its 30-Under-30 Team.
 
Before Howard, Brooks coached and recruited at the 14-under, 15-under, and 16-under levels, helping to develop several NCAA Division I student-athletes from top programs around Washington, D.C., including DC Assault, Team Takeover, Team Durant, and Team St8ment.
 
Brooks played college basketball at Hampton (2007-11). In high school, at C.H. Flowers in Maryland, he averaged 22.3 points, eight assists and five steals per game as a senior and led his team to a pair of 4A league titles.
