Drew Barnette is in his seventh year as the director of student-athlete services with Morehead State Athletics. His primary duty is administering all EAGLE Center operations, insuring that every student-athlete continues to progress toward their respective degree.

Barnette came to Morehead after nine years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he operated as the academic advisor for men's and women's soccer, football, and rifle. He also served as a member of the Community Service Committee, working alongside the school's CHAMPS/Life Skills program to help organize community service opportunities for student-athletes.

Barnette also worked in the athletics' academic department at Wright State.

A native of Louisville, Ky., Barnette graduated from Xavier University with a Bachelor of Arts in history in 2002. He received a master's degree in college student personnel from the University of Dayton in 2006.
