Enforcement

The Enforcement officer works with each of the programs within the Division of Oil and Public Safety to ensure that regulated parties operate their facilities within the regulations and statutes and remain in compliance. The Enforcement officer actively works with regulated parties to resolve compliance issues, answer questions, offer guidance and assist them with getting their facilities back into compliance.

The main focus of enforcement is to be protective of the public through compliance with the established State regulations and statutes. The requirements of the Code of Colorado Regulations (7 CCR 1101-5) and the Colorado Revised Statutes (Title 9, Article 4) for Boilers and some Pressure Vessels are administered by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Division of Oil and Public Safety.
