Brown bag lunch talks at Bent Creek Experimental Forest

Join us at Bent Creek Experimental Forest for a series of free lunchtime talks by local foresters, botanists, wildlife resource managers, and other experts.

The talks will begin at 12:00 ET. Space is limited to 50 participants, and you must register to attend. Feel free to arrive a few minutes early to settle in before the talks. The talks will typically last 45 minutes with 15 minutes for questions. Talks are not recorded. Bring your own lunch - no food is provided.

The event is over. Registrants heard Joey Borders discuss local land management history and how it influences current conditions, as well as forestry trends and challenges. Borders is a certified registered forester at EcoForesters.

Jacob Betzen, a USDA Forest Service entomologist, will discuss new and emerging pests and diseases threatening North Carolina forests. Join us at noon for this brown bag lunch talk at the Bent Creek Training Center. Please register to attend. Space is limited to 50 participants.
