GEM Environmental is looking for corps members to map abandoned mines in New Mexico. The job entails extensive outdoor field work, fleet management, equipment upkeep and entering data and creating maps. Successful applicants will receive a variety of high-quality training that will equip them to do this job and gain valuable skills for future employment. The project is based in Socorro; however, applicants who live in the Gallup/Grants/Ramah or Lordsburg/Animas/Hachita areas are strongly encouraged to apply. NMOST is launching mini-grants to help you start or sustain service-learning projects in out-of-school time programs! This mini-grant opportunity ($1,500-2,500) will be for OST providers to implement service-learning and youth voice initiatives in the first half of 2025. Colorado State University’s Master of Conservation Leadership is an 18 month program built around experiential learning and project work that helps to prepare leaders to address conservation issues.
