NOAA carries out its mission of science, service and stewardship for every community in the United States. The mission is to understand and predict changes in climate, weather, ocean, and coasts, to share that knowledge and information with others and to conserve and manage coastal and marine ecosystems and resources. The NOAA mission has a different flavor in each of the 8 regions of the country. In each of these videos, you’ll see how NOAA tunes its mission to particular geographies with wide varieties of natural resources, weather patterns, regional priorities and public safety challenges. Each of the films also highlight NOAA’s priorities to create a weather and climate ready nation, strengthen our economy and in particular the ocean or blue economy and promote diversity in our workforce and incorporate equity into all that NOAA does in its service to communities.
