Mrs.

Huang s Week in Review

Week ending September 11, 2015 Rachel.huang2@oldham.kyschools.us (502) 241-1452 ext. 206

Announcements:

Mrs. Dallaire, our

librarian, has asked all
teachers to remind
parents to please be
careful with water
bottles in backpacks
with library books. To
solve this problem, I am
asking you to send in
empty water bottles
from now on. We can
fill these at school in
the morning and empty
them in the afternoon
to protect our library
books.
We go to the library
once a week. Please
keep your library book
at home so you can read
it multiple times with
your child. Repeated
readings help children
become fluent readers.
Next week, we will go
to the library on
Thursday.
Please help your child
learn their lunch
number many of them
already do!
Remember, Color Week
begins on Monday:
Monday red
Tuesday blue
Wednesday yellow
Thursday - green
Friday - orange

Growing as leaders and learners:

This week, we have continued our
journey as learners and leaders.
letter sounds with our first

and Ryan (B). We brainstormed a
variety of words that start with
each letter and learned poems to
help us remember the letter
sounds:
B: baby makes a baby sound,
babys bottle on the ground,
M: popsicle cold, popsicle sweet,
hot summer day, popsicle treat,
m..m..m.
Ask your child to perform the
poems using our hand motions!
