The goal is to identify a cohort group of students, develop parameters they must follow
throughout their high school years, and upon their successful completion offer them a full twoyear scholarship, including textbooks, to Salt Lake Community College. Paid internships will be
made available to the students as they progress. The program with be fully funded by local
businesses. This program will target students who have not traditionally considered themselves
as college bound.
Regularly attend the annual Utah Accounting Educators Conference. Attendees include
accounting educators from all of the institutions of higher education in Utah. Workshops on topics
of current interest to the profession as well as matters of articulation and course content are
discussed.
Recruit engaging executives from business and industry to speak at the School of Business
Leadership forum.
