Montage
Description: An inspirational montage that inspires people to look beyond who they think
they are and see their true potential
Process : This work was made in Photoshop. Using 2 images that were layered and
masked together. It took about 5hours to complete. A use of paint and blending tools were
used to make the image look like one whole piece. I used images found on flickr. The color
scheme is a triadic multi color, and the theme is over all very earthy.
Message: The message is about the untapped potential that we all have. It shows the importance of working with yourself to grow and learn, so you can become all you have the
potential to become.
Audience: College students, and other people who are striving to see who they might become.
Top Thing Learned: I learned how to blend multiple layers together, to make them look as
if they were the same photo all along. Each image I used multiple times in order to blend
the photos together.
Filter: I didnt feel the need to use a filter for this project, because I felt like the colors were
vibrant enough that they didnt need improvement. I did work a lot with masks.

Brochure
Description: The overall layout of my brochure is musical themed. After
speaking with my friend about our old High School days, I got the idea to
make a fake band business. The design is black and white with pops of red
to help the design have more focus and flow. I decided on a two fold design
with, with a grand piano on the front to pull things together. I feel like the piano is definitely the strongest part of my brochure.
Process: I used Adobe Illustrator to create the Logo, as well as the cover
icons. Then I used photo shop to put masks on some of the photos. Then I
used Adobe InDesign to to combine my images, logo and text into my overall
brochure design. I used different tools in InDesign like text wrap to make my
design look streamless.
Message: The message I am trying to get across is that a new type of music
shop has come to come to Kentucky!
Audience: Audience is anyone who has an interest in music! It covers all
ages, and levels of interest from beginners to experts, and we only hire the
best to help teach classes! If you are interested in anything music related we
are the ones here to teach you!
Top Thing Learned: The top thing I learned that even if you have your lay out
perfect, it doesnt mean it will print out perfectly. I have printed a half dozen
times and the amount of frustration was crazy. I found out that even if you
think youve got it perfect that you may still have to print it again.
Color scheme and color names: My color scheme mostly black and white
with a pop of red.

Description: At first I tried to focus combining the concept of a clever name along with the
bakery concept. When I decided to make a bakery I made around 12 cupcakes before decided simple was best. Then I worked with idea of making my title and logo to mesh. After some
though I decide that the Mad Batter needed to have a nod toward Alice in Wonderland by
flipping the cupcake upside down like a hat. After I add the whimsical changes I decide that I
could used a bold decorative font to pull it all
together.
Process: I used notepad++ to make the coding for this webpage, and made my logo in Adobe Illustrator.
Message: The message of this webpage is the fun you can have with sweets! It shows the
charismatic touch of a fru-fru bakery, with the yumminess of pastries. The web page showcases to the audience that baked goods can be cute and delicious!
Audience: The audience is anyone and everyone that enjoys the sweet aroma and taste of
all the wonderful treats found at a local bakery. The style of the logo is very feminine, but that
is exactly the type of thing that is associated with bakeries.
Top Thing Learned: I created my logo in InDesign, and manipulated a square, and two ovals
to help create the base for the cupcake. Then I combined them by using the addition/divide
tools to make them all cohesive. Then after creating the base cupcake, I decide to create
a simple cherry to go on top! Then I rotated the cupcake to go over the very simple banner
holding the title.
Color scheme and color hex(s): I chose a triadic color scheme, but focused on purple to be
my main color of focus. The colors bring to life the whimsical nature of the baking industry.
I played along with the idea of making it simple, but eye catching cupcake, with the frosting
being a stark white. The cherry on top was nod to ending everything with the perfect final
touch.
Title Font Families & Category: Rage Italic- Script
Copy Font Families & Category: Georgia slab serif
Changes made to the CSS:
Colors for text. Added a background image. Changed spacing, and alignment. Changed
around all colors for background, and text boxes.

Design: The design is very earthy and simple.
Using a water mark of a tree and green as the
pop of color
Programs used: I made the water mark in
Illstrautor, and combined all parts in InDesign.
Color: Is black and white with a little green for
contrast.
Font: Bradley Hand
Audience: Those interested in an Aroma Touch
Message.

Business Card
Description: This Stationary and business card is an idea for a bakery. The
design is basic in nature and quite eye catching. Peoples eyes are first
drawn to the upside down cupcake, and with that curiosity they continue to
read and find out why the
cupcake is upside down.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): The process used was a combination of
Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. I started by creating the Logo in Illustrator. By combining a few shapes, I created a cupcake, because I thought
making a stationary set for a bakery would be fun, and adorable. After trying
out several potential cupcake designs, I decided that less was more, and
went back to a simple white frosted cupcake with a cherry on top.
The next step was to think of a name for this bakery, and after reading a few
different potential cute names, I decided to go a little wacky and choose the
Mad Batter. Then I had to finish my logo. I decided that if I flipped the cupcake and angled it correctly that it would look like a hat, and would go well
with my name choice.
After my logo was finished, I moved on it InDesign, where I would create
my business cards, and stationary paper. Once again I decided less was
more, and I used my Logo and information to create the perfect business
card. The stationary I struggled with, because I didnt what it to look cheesy,
but I also didnt want it to look over done either. I added different borders,
and moved around the watermark, but nothing seemed to please me. Then
finally I put the watermark in the center and all the return information at the
top with the logo.

Programs used: Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
Message: The message of my design was fun and whimsical. I loved
the idea of Opening my own Bakery, and drew my ideas from little corner bakerys I have been in back home. I was pleasantly surprised how
well my Title and Logo flowed. People have smiled and laughed at how
cute and clever my logo came out.
Audience: Any man, women, or child who loves fresh baked goodies
like brownies, cupcakes, cookies, and more.
Top Thing Learned:
Logos only work if you are willing to change them and tweek them to
fit the audience, and the company. When I started this project I wanted
only make a cute and simple cupcake for a simple bakery, but after I
had made a half dozen cupcakes I still didnt have a decent name for
the Bakery. I decided to brain storm, and when I came up with Mad
Batter, I had to be willing to completely change my original ideas completely. I am so glad I did though, because I loved the way it all came
together.

Message:
Aerial Surf Shop was created as an idea of creating something fun. Aerial is a
made up surf shop, that would sell boards, clothing, and other surf gear.
Audience:
Anyone interesting in the style, skill, and learning the art of surfing.
Top Thing Learned:
Coming up with a game plan before had is the most important thing. I doesnt
matter how well you know the program if you dont have a design in mind to
execute. Also, dont be afraid to try new things, because you might surprise your
self what you are able to accomplish.

Description: Girls night at the Sallys Beauty Supply
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): Microsoft Word 2013
Message: Event ad for a big sale at Sallys, inviting all the women out
to get great deals on the beauty stuff they want to buy anyway.
Audience: Women
Color scheme and color names: Analogous/ Red and violet
Top Thing Learned: That scanning multiple images is always a good
idea,
because what you might want to do originally may change. Options
are always good.
