    ASPIRATIONS WEEK- MONDAY 18th MAY- FRIDAY 15th MAY 2015


    As part of our continuing Tangible Curriculum the whole school will again be involved in ASPIRATIONS
    WEEK during the week beginning Monday 18th May 2015. We would very much like to provide the
    children with the opportunity to meet as many people from a range of occupations and vocations as
    possible. In addition we are hoping to invite a range of community heroes and champions who can
    talk to the children about their roles.
    I would very much like to secure your involvement and would like to ask for parental support during
    Aspirations Week. This may take the form of a talk/discussion with small groups or the whole class
    about your role/job/vocation or life experience (eg, a community project or a specific international link).
    We would be very glad to see our speakers from previous years return again this year to
    share their presentations with a different year group if they are available. We also
    understand that some parents may find talking to a group of children very stressful.
    However, teachers will be on hand to help out and children will benefit from even a
    discussion lasting 10 or 15 minutes.
    We are looking to inspire the children and provide them with experiences which raise their expectations
    and motivate them to succeed in whatever life choices they make. All contributions will be highly
    valued and gratefully received. Thank you in advance for your support in making this an inspiring and
    memorable week for the children.
    As in previous years, Friday 22nd May will be Aspirations Day and the children will be invited to
    come dressed for the day.
    If you are interested in supporting the school to make this week successful, please can you complete
    the slip below and return it to school or alternatively contact school by email at
    admin@boughtonheath.cheshire.sch.uk or by telephone on 01244 981010.
    During the week beginning we will be organising parents, speakers and volunteers into a timetable and
    will contact each individual two weeks before to confirm all the details of your visit.
    Please support Aspiration Week, by giving your time to come into school and meet the children. We
    know from past experiences that children really are inspired as a result of the many talks, discussions
    and demonstrations that take place. I look forward to hearing from you over the next two weeks.
