postbag and we are still working our way through it! On these pages,
we've decided to give you a chance to air your views and to sound off on
the subjects on which readers have strong feelings - very strong, as you
will see from the letters that follow. Normally, we include only short
letters (or print the highlights of long ones). This time, however, we have
included two long contributions because they give quite different views
of the subject - and do so in no uncertain terms.
