Conclusion

Team building exercises, activities and games are a great method of bringing a
group of individuals together in a fun, challenging and supportive
environment. Besides, team building exercises consist of a variety of tasks
designed to develop group members and their ability to work together. A group
of individuals put together doesnt automatically make a team. Through
practical exercises and some trial and error, groups will learn the key elements
that make a team successful in any given situation, as well as improve team
morale and trust. With use of team building activities, groups will learn to use
problem-solving

skills,

identify

strengths

and

weaknesses,

improve

communication and share ideas in order to complete some interesting

challenges. There is an amazing amount of flexibility in each task, with almost
every challenge easily adaptable to suit groups of all ages. It does not
necessarily matter whether your group completes the challenge, the key is in
the facilitation of the task, ensuring that your group understands the principles
and learning outcomes behind the exercises.

The team-building experiences provided a valuable opportunity for students to

get to know each other a little better, setting a positive and collaborative tone for
the semester. In addition, the challenges had application to our course objectives
and they involved a good deal of critical thinking and problem solving.

Outcome of the project

The outcome of the task is to creating and developing the students soft skills
competencies through six elements of soft skills development. The six
elements are management skills, thinking skills, leadership, communication
skills ,entrepreneurship and team work.Besides, the activities help to stimulate
the brain, improving retention of ideas, learning and increasing fun and
enjoyment. Team building activities also provide a wonderful opportunity to
bring to life the increasing awareness and interest in ethical organizations.
All interactive team building sessions, whether physical or mental activities,
can be fully debriefed in order to anchor the lessons learned and get input from
the delegates. Active participation by all is encouraged and there are numerous
and diverse benefits and outcomes from every program or game. Our team
building activities provide meaningful personal and team growth through fun
and challenging learning activities.

Suggestion And Recommendation

Choose Team Members Carefully
All too often, teams are built by placing random people together and giving
them a purpose. While these types of teams may be able to get the job done,
they're not ideal. Teams that are carefully designed tend to be the most effective.
Each team member should be able to bring a unique set of skills to the table
that's relevant to the project. Individual team members should also be able to
communicate effectively with one another and share an overall common vision.

Clarify Team Member Roles

Once the team is established, it's important to clarify what each member's role
will be within the team. Each team member should have a clear vision of what
they're responsible for within the group. The goal is to make each member
responsible for some aspect of keeping the team productive. For example,
common roles include being the encourager, harmonizer, compromiser,
gatekeeper, standard setter and group observer. Whenever the team begins
straying from its goals, the appropriate team member will get things back on
track.

Establish Goals
It's important that each team member agrees to and accepts the team goals. The
team will want to establish both individual goals and overall team goals. For
example, each team member may need to complete individual tasks before a
certain date so the whole team can come together and work on the rest of the
project together. If one team member doesn't complete his portion on time, it
will delay everyone else from completing the project as planned. Therefore,
goals must be agreed to from the start.

Utilize Team-Building Exercises

Many college will periodically have their students participate in team-building
exercises. These exercises often come in the form of playing games or
participating in group activities while studying. The primary goals are to have a
little fun, learn some new skills. For more intense team-building experiences,
some lecturer choose to send students to special team-building retreats where
they will learn better communication skills and ways to cope in non-ideal
situations.
