1User Mode
For regular communication, turning on the radio to enter user mode.(Please refer to A2 user
manual to conduct all operation under this mode)
2PC Mode
For-word
You can program A2 by PC ,program setup
interface and program software( A2 Setup) .
Please see the picture showing to connect radio
with PC program software by IBM or compatible
PC .
Steps:
Connect A2 to PC with serial port program cable.
Radio enter user mode once connecting with
power supply.
Radio will enter PC mode when PC sends out
command .
When radio connects with PC , its red indicator
lights in reading frequency state ,
Green indicator lights in programming frequency
5
state .
Note
Radio model number should be matched when program pre-stored data in PC to EEPROM.
Circuit Introduction
Receiver
Signals from an antenna pass through TX/RX transformer , are amplified at BF1212 amplifier; then
processed by 1846S and output the audio signals ,again amplified by UTC2822M ,finally goes out
speaker .
6
Figure 1. Receiving Circuit
Transmitter
Signals from microphone are processed by 1846s modulation and come with carrier wave . With
buffering and promoting on Q203 ,Q202 ,the modulated signals are amplified at Q201 and goes
to antenna .

B: Correct VCO frequency by synthesizer offering reference clock.
3, Serial control port.
Dismantle the radio body ( Aluminum bottom case and PCB parts)
1,Dismantle the radio antenna.
2,Dismantle the belt clip parts: take off the battery first ,then two screws with cross screwdriver
.now can take off the belt clip parts .( See Figure 8)
Note: Should take off the battery before belt clip.
10
3,Take off the volume rotator. See Figure 9
4,Take off the antenna nut and volume switch nut with specific tools. See Figure 9
5,Take off two screws on the radio bottom by inner six angle screwdriver . See Figure 9
6.Turn radio body battery face down , knock the bottom on the cushion back and forth several
times .(See Figure 10) .Then aluminum case will part from mechanical case and raise it to pull out
the radio body.
11
Installing Belt Clip
Take off the battery first ,attach the belt clip to the back of battery with the screws
supplied by cross screwdriver. ( See Figure 13)
