Basketball mechanics.

1. Elimination rounds(morning)
a. Each team competes in a 3v3 half-court, round-robin system. The
teams may have boy and/or girl players. Substitutions are allowed only
in dead-ball situations.
b. Each game is played within 10 minutes running time. Initial possession
is decided in a coin toss. The scoring is in three-two point system. Free
throws for the case of fouls are given a point each. The team with the
highest score after the end of the regulation time wins. In case of a tie,
a death match system is done where the first team to score wins the
game. An overtime of 2 minutes is given. Each team is given two 20-
second timeouts for the whole game.
c. Normal half-court basketball rules apply. The ball must be inbounded
within 5 seconds. A loose ball must be moved across the 3pt line to be
considered a possession. Only the girls are allowed to double-dribble
and travel the ball. Fouls and violations are judged by the referee.
d. The team with the least number of wins after the round gets eliminated
and the other two teams will play in the final round. In case of a tie, the
team with the highest total score for the whole elimination round is
chosen.
2. Final round(afternoon)
a. The qualifying teams compete in a 5v5 full court game. Two sets of five
players, one for the boys and another for the girls. The players who
played in the elimination rounds can still play in the final round.
Substitutions are allowed only in dead-ball situations.
b. The game consists of 4 quarters. The first and third quarters, which are
played by teams consisting of only boy members, are given 10 minutes
running time. The second and fourth quarters, which are played by
teams consisting only of girl members, are given 5 minutes running
time. Same rules of scoring applies. The team with the higher total
score at the end of regulation time wins. In the case of a tie, an
overtime of 5 minutes is given, which is to be played by the boy teams.
The team with the higher total score wins the game. Each team is
given three timeouts per half.
c. Normal full court rules apply. The ball must be inbounded within 5
seconds and dribbled across the half court line within 8 seconds. Only
the girls are allowed to double-dribble and travel the ball. Fouls and
violations are judged by the referee.
